Preparing Your Lavender for Winter: Pruning and Care

Preparing Your Lavender for Winter: Pruning and Care

Before winter sets in, it’s essential to give your lavender plants a final round of care. Proper pruning depends on the variety—Lavandula angustifolia should be pruned back by about one-third, while Lavandula x intermedia requires a lighter trim. This preparation ensures healthy growth next spring.

In our own lives, autumn is a wonderful time to reflect on what we need to release in order to rest and renew. What habits, worries, or unnecessary clutter can you prune from your life before the quiet of winter arrives?
