Once you’ve chosen your lavender, it’s time to plant! Start by selecting a sunny, well-draining spot and testing your soil’s pH. If needed, amend with lime to reach 7.2. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball, place the plant in, and backfill with loose soil, ensuring the crown sits just above the surface.
Lavender dislikes wet feet, so if your soil retains moisture, consider adding small stones for drainage. Water lightly, but don’t overdo it—lavender prefers drier conditions. Just as we care for plants by providing the best foundation, it’s important to check in on our own well-being. Have you had the check-ups and self-care moments you need to stay healthy, both physically and emotionally?
